Backstory:
Sam was given up for adoption right after birth. He was a beautiful baby and adopted immediately. He spent the first 9 years with his adoptive family until a freak car accident took his parents away. The Wilson's were over achieving, new age, competitive, cerebral, new money parents. Sam was being exercised and exposed from day one. His father a former classical orchestra musician put a violin in Sam's hand at age two and discovered that he was a musical genius. Sam became somewhat of a media sensation and his parents pimped him out relentlessly. Sam spent the next 9 years being home schooled and traveling around the US playing the violin. He grew up without friends except for his stuffed animals and developed a keen and untrusting sense about adults. 

After the car accident he ended up in the guardianship of his adoptive fathers attorney. He ran away a few days later and lived unofficially in the abandoned building at 115 Rochenby for almost a year. When he found out that the building had been sold and who bought it, he began to find out everything he could about the new owners. They looked so young and cool. Sam longed brothers and family. So he began secretly following them until he knew their routines and their names. When he saw Martine he felt an immediate connection and became bolder in his surveillance until Martine approached him. Martine took him under his wing reluctantly at first. Something about little Sam reminded him of himself when he was younger.
